Styling Curly Hair
Styling Curly Hair:
People with natural curly hair have a hard time finding someone who understands how to cut curly hair, and I do understand how to cut curly hair. I have the skill it takes to cut it correctly. I take a lot of time and care styling curly hair.
One thing I consider is if I have to cut curly hair dry or wet; it makes a big difference. If my client’s hair seems bouncy I may cut it dry to see where it will lay. If it’s too frizzy, I’ll flat iron it then cut it dry. Then I’ll shampoo it. After blow drying I’ll look at the hair again to see if it needs more cutting and then make any adjustments needed. Styling curly and frizzy hair can take just a bit longer.
If someone just cuts the hair without considering the overall hair pattern, they could end up cutting the hair a lot shorter then the client expected. I know, I was one of those people because I have curly, frizzy hair. I am very careful because my own hair shrinks. It can look shorter then it really is and then too much hair is cut off. I am extremely careful cutting and styling curly hair. It’s important my clients know that I will take care of them.
